Pickford is a very good, young keeper. To an extent he is still learning his trade. I would venture to say he would look less exposed if he had a better defense in front of him.

This JP thread is getting really stupid, all this reaction to some kid's twtter rubbish. Tweeting is for twits!
Seriously though, Pickford has been getting negative comment from way back when Southgate first selected him as England's n°1. Some of the media took exception to that, some had other favourites no doubt. He was heavily criticised for failing to stop a near perfect lob( he's no good, he's not tall enough,his arms are too short, etc).
He's a bloody good shot stopper, his reactions are lightening. His tactical deficiencies are only part of the general defensive cluelessness that needs sorting quickly .
To say he's a poor goalie is wrong, are there any better English goalies. GS doesn't think so.
