2018/19 Jordan Pickford

I still cant decide if he should be dropped or not for Chelsea.

One side of me thinks yes, he was all over the place on Saturday and if it was an outfield player he would be dropped
The other side thinks he needs backing, the old arm around the shoulder - not binning

I see Pickford as similar to Joe Hart, capable of brilliance and equally capable of the ridiculous - Since Pep dropped Joe Hart he's been to West Ham and Burnley and ultimately been dropped by both - Which leads to the question that was Pep was right and Joe hart wasn't good enough? Should Marco do the Same?

The problem is City could just afford to drop Hart and bring a new goalie in. They can attract one and afford one, they can also take the hit on Hart.

If Pickford doesn't get his act together soon we would end up with a very expensive millstone around our necks (again...)

Huge salaries carry responsibility to behave in public. That does not just apply to the street, but also to the soccer pitch where your conduct can affect your club's reputation/image and your own team's prospects. A rollicking or a fine is very appropriate in his case. He could not complain if shown a video of his behaviour. Mature goalkeepers do not do this. His form and ability is a different matter, and is subject to opinion one way or the other.

Totally agree, if a member of staff the I worked with acted like this (on WAY less money and with way less responsibility) they would absolutely be made to reflect on it.

I'd be surprised if this hadn't already happened. It might be that instead of him getting dropped we might see him keeping his head down for a while. Its whether this is due to lack of experience and he just cocked up or if he is essentially just a clown.

To be honest though the way he conducts himself on a normal day isn't great and we should be seeing improvements. Instead he seems to be getting worse if anything.

I have to stick to my opinion though and I can't help but feel he is often overlooked as a source of problems. Having a solid respectful and dependable keeper is important. If he had a defender in front of him with more about them I reckon he'd have been told to shut the **** up by now.

It might give him the kick in the backside he needs.

A good few weeks back.... zouma told him he needed to have come for a ball.... Pickford told him to f%$@ off!

I was seriously cheered off with that.

Are you magistrates or crown?
