2018/19 Jordan Pickford

The people who were posting the video on twitter etc yesterday before it kicked off on here were suggesting that he'd been drinking throughout the day, and that that isn't a particularly uncommon thing for him. Obviously they might be lying, but it's not really an assumption to take those posts at face value.

Also worth pointing out that he wasn't really 'put in that position'. He put himself in that position, by choosing to go what looks like a dog rough pub where there were always going to be people who would try to wind him up.

It's not a massive deal, he doesn't need the book throwing at him and the matchgoing fans certainly won't hold it against him, but I hope he learns from it. It's not asking a lot for him to be professional and not get into trouble really, most footballers seem to manage it.
'Looks like a Dog Rough Pub'

You can tell that from seeing a road outside?

Apparently, the banter was well accepted, it was when they started having a go at his fiance that it all went Pete Tong.

All over in a few seconds (I've heard that before) and nothing to get het up about. A non-story in reality.

Unless it was a RS player, then of course, it is disgusting and he should be hung, drawn and quartered.

This mostly.

Get what you're saying like but the people on Twitter are also those who goaded him all day so to take their word as gospel would be unwise.

Worst reply. And since you emboldened the word misandry I can only assume you're blind to it or are in denial.

Thanks for sharing a shallow opinion devoid if any observation or evidenced based backing. Its what makes internet forums so rich and informative. :coffee:

Can this be substantiated?

Separately: Pickford was a fool but it’s not a huge deal if it’s not affecting his football
Oh blimey - it's everywhere! Literally saturating the bbc. You can substantiate it yourself if you open your eyes to the media objectively, honestly.

Agree about Pickford by the way. Although in these truly enlightened times where we must respect peoples choices to identify as whatever they choose, it is no longer cool to insult him and act in a manner that doesn't show understanding and acceptance to who the person really is.

It appears.

There’s more than one video. And it’s in Sunderland.
Aye was definitely in town and the gimp who did the video is a mag from Boldon his Twitter is now private must’ve been quite lively the past few days somehow a doubt he’ll be drinking in Sunderland for a while

I'm not blind to it, as a straight white male you cannot imagine the struggle I go through daily, we're a persecuted group especially by the BBC :hayee:

Clean sheets and letting in goals are slightly different (as stupid as that sounds...) A goalie could keep 20 clean sheets in a season, but if he is making howlers that cost points in the other 18 games then he is still doing badly...

We have deffo improved as of late though no doubt.

But we had @sageyefc telling us last season that it was only clean sheets that matter and they’re the only thing we should judge keepers on.

Can we leave the right-wing edgelord stuff now and get back to Pickford?

Still stupid to get involved in a fight in his position but what a gang of absolute wasters they are to hurl abuse about his missus.

Still not an excuse but it's understandable tbh, Some can ignore people ragging on loved ones some are super defensive.
Just one of them.
