Expected goals from shots on target vs actual conceded goals. (number of saves is more of a measure how busy he is rather than ability.

Statistically he's the worst keeper outside the top six. (let in alnost 8 goals more than expected based on placement and starting position)

Only way we get him is on loan, I don't want to pay Man Utd for the privilege of developing one of their players for them. If he's for sale he'll be beyond our budget and will have more attractive suitors.

He won’t be staying there as a backup if De Gea doesn’t move on. Idk how difficult it would be in that case, but I’d pay quite a lot to get him, assuming picks can be moved on. That’s the hard part.

26 isn’t “young” for a goalkeeper anymore. He should be coming into his peak and he’s getting worse every season.

He's just awful in what every metric you want to use.

- xG
- Save percentage
- errors leading to goals
- being a gurning, simple tool
- just using your eyes and realising how crap he is

How on earth are we going to sell him.

I think Pickford will be sold if we get a biggish bid for THE England international number 1. I don't think he'd mind too much to leave & I reckon the fee will surprise/content/astound some of his critics.

Any club wanting to make a statement that has the funds and that we can reach an agreement with for England's no.1. I don't find it hard to envisage at all. Steve Bruce & Newcastle if they wanted to make a statement signing after coming into money, for example. Maybe he will down too many pints and the club will send him to China for £40m.
