You only have to look at the improved performances of the likes of Siggurdsson and Delph to show that competition for places makes players play better.

Carlo can talk to him all he wants - if he doesn't bring in credible competition for him nothing will change.

Virginia and Lossl are bums.
 
Saw that first goal again this morning. Some will say the defenders shouldnt presume and are possibly right. But as he's about to catch it you can see keane thinking danger over....oops not now.
24 hours on i simply cant see him as any long term option.

We need Romero mate, he’d be ideal as a low cost quality keeper who’d be genuinely capable of taking the shirt off him, been saying it all summer.

So hoping we make it happen in the next 2 days.
 
I think he's trying too hard, which means he missing the basics. Like tipping that ball over for a corner instead of awkwardly trying to catch it. It's weird since his decision making lately is that of a goalkeeper whose only made 5 appearances in the league and not 150. I bet he's a beast of a keeper in training and thats why Ancelotti is happy with him for now
 

Unfortunately speaking to him after the break is too late, the window is shut, we need a keeper or this lad will end up ruining all the hard work and feel good factor.
 
Ex St.Mirren keeper Vaclav Hladky would be a great back up... St.Mirren were gutted to lose him and he went on a free to Salford on a 2 year deal.
He actually played against us in the cup game.
Current value on tranfermarket is £360,000.
Get an offer they can’t refuse and get him signed.
No I’m not his agent lol

But conversely, his inability to perform could well rub off on others.

Needs replacing and/ or competition if we want to keep up the good work so far this season.

Centre half and a right back.

Then a GK.

We've spent £30mill on a CB. Will no doubt either bring in a loan full back or/and another striker since Kean is off.

The GK needs replacing. But I've said before.. it needs to be the right buy and not a panic one.

I'm just going off what I think the manager sees as priority.

It's a marathon not a sprint. Can't do what Chelsea have done, spend £200mill and then spend half a year trying to figure out what works.

I'd rather a solid foundation be built then individuals be taken care of.
