We tried to get Romero.... Man United will not do business with us because of some grumbles over cleverly or something.

We tried to do business on deadline day but Utd saw us top of the table and them in midtable and thought nah ur alrite boys we aint making u even stronger - it was well reported as being the reason.

Had we sorted that priority position at the start of the window before a ball was kicked we wouldn't have had an issue.

Yet more arsing around by the DOF.

If one or two clangers a game means you're an average keeper, then there are no good keepers in this league. Watch other keepers, will make you feel a lot better about Pickford.

Other keepers do make "should have done better" errors and occasionally they do "wtf was that" errors.

Pickford rarely elevates himself to "should have done better"..... He blatantly throws the fundamentals out the window and does erratic nonsense that brings attention to him.

He's not reliable, I don't care that he plays for England.... I do care that he concentrates better in England games.

Given the one or two errors Pickford makes get called 'clangers', I'm going off that type and standard of mistake. You would hate to have every keeper in the league.

No.... You are incorrect.

United were cheesed off with us for spoiling a move from Villa for Cleverly for £7.5m. we tried to hijack the move and it meant villa never got the business done for a transfer and instead loaned him for a year and cleverly joined us on a free a year later.

As a result United played hardball over Rojo and Romero . They wanted £8m for Romero which we were right to refuse, he's in his last year and we can get him for nothing

There's the facts. You turn it into slating brands if you want

Stop talking rubbish lad - Utd aint arsed about a few quid from years ago when they are one of the richest clubs in the world.

Utd wouldn't loan him to us as they saw us as a direct rival - even the Manchester Press pretty much gave that as the reason when Romero's wife came out and slammed the club for not letting him leave.

Had we stumped up silly money they may well have let him go but a loan move is all Brands wanted and they wouldnt loan to what they considered at the time to be a rival as we were top of the table about 6 points better off than them and they knew Pickford is our big achilles heel.

Worship Brands all you want- facts are we needed a new GK yet he waits until the last day of the window to try get one - same as he waited to try sign a CB last summer and signed about 3 players the summer before that around the deadline day.

Its a risky strategy that if it doesn't come off you're knackered until January with a problem area not addressed.

I mean Pickford literally tops the charts since he’s been here for errors, a couple of more categories aswell, yikes

Had a friend watching with me who doesn’t watch Everton. I told him Pickford would make 2 clear mistakes that will or should lead to goals. Not far off. Credit due though, clean sheet and great save on James’ effort.

Typical Pickford performance. Some very good saves and a couple of brainfarts. The only difference this time is that his errors weren't punished. Must be high up on the list to be replaced.

once again, didnt lose us any pointd
Seriously man? Rewatch the Saint's goals, or the one from Leeds when the ball was rolling so slow as if the toddler has hit it.
Let me see if I’ve got this right. You go to all the trouble of shouting at your defenders to line up right at a free kick, have them cover a particular area of the goal, set yourself in position to cover the exposed area, then step away to your right to the area covered by the wall leaving the area you’re supposed to cover totally exposed. He’s a clown.
Damn right.
Not good enough he is. Being not a tall guy, he also is doing a very strange thing, when he needs to cover the nearest corner instead of jump sideways as far as he can, he falls almost at the same spot where he was standing, as if his legs were chopped off (examples of that are the Saint goals and Cavani goal for MU).
