I have cut and pasted that Carlo quote and will use it with abandon whenever someone rants about how awful Pickford is. (I broadly agree with the ranters by the way, but what Carlo thinks matters, the rest doesn't very much).
Joel Robles put in a few good stints for us but he got shipped out.

Pickford is awful and Carlo knows it. That's why he brought in a Gkp in the summer and has been playing occasionally to put pressure on pickford. It worked for a while and pickfird improved but he can't sustain it. Pretty much no other team will rotate their first choice keeper, but we are.
Carlo isn't the type of manager to come out scathing about individual players publicly. He is careful with his man management, so you can use that quote all you like, but it show you don't understand Carlos management style.

I partly agree, but there are other factors to take into account when teams are relegated.One thing Pickford has surely highlighted.
Don’t buy a relegated team’s goalkeeper
It's difficult though, as unlikely to attract any keeper from the top half, most in the bottom half will be average which means looking abroad. And currently there isn't much out there. (That I'm aware of)
So you turn to the younger keepers who are In struggling teams with good stats (like pickford was) and hope it works but this time it hasn't.

He just sucks. Everything about him. The only redeeming quality about him is his phat arse which doesn’t keep balls out of the net unfortunately.

I think it arrogance. It looks like he trys to make world class saves out of shots he can just smother with a simple step to the left or right.
With the shot he messed up on he moves the other way to where the ball is going. Was he trying to pre-emt a deflection or giving him self room to do a camera save.

As said previously I would rather play Olsen for an extended run of games and keep Pickford out. That option is open to the manager but he seems to have a different opinion of Pickford's ability and contribution than the majority opinion displayed at least on here. For as long as that plays out we will have rotation.
