How does he get away with so much? It's absolutely mind blowing how many mistakes he does and can still slot into the first team.

You just knew he was building up to that mistake for 30 seconds, there was the palming it out for a needless corner, then the flap, then the charge out and finally the shot squirming in.

You just can tell when the switch is flipped in his head and he's building up to a brainfart.

If Pickford was an otherwise brilliant keeper who was prone to mistakes due to the exuberance of youth or whatever, then I get keeping faith in him. You want to encourage the talent and work on the mistakes in training.

Problem is, he’s average even on the odd occasions he isn’t goosing up. Carlo should have no loyalty to this lad and should be getting Olsen in the team, even if he himself is only the short-term solution.

Carlo is undoubtedly a great manager but this is poor judgement, for me.

Average is even kind, he's been a pretty poor shot stopper for awhile now to me.

The lad has probably been told his place as No 1 is on the line - in order not destroy his confidence and his fin value we are doing the right things.

Still if he fails today, he is done and Olson will be No 1.

We’ve been saying this since October. It isn’t happening, time to get used to it.

Pickford will be the reason we never do anything under one of the greatest managers of all time.

Besides Pickford's blunder last game I thought he played well. It's a shame that he tarnished that performance with that... I was fuming after the game against the foxes but I think he deserves his chances (while being rotated) for the remainder of the season and then reassess then. He has only just started getting on top of his mental weaknesses, there's a chance he can improve on this still.

It’s not mental weaknesses that are the issue, it’s the fact he’s technically abysmal. At 27 I don’t think this is going to improve.
