and today was the first time I actually got goosebumps where we had a goalkeeper single handedly winning us points with saves that goalkeepers just don't make

That save is just incredible. The 2nd save to the mush is probably better as in the way he makes himself massive. The end save technically is actually the best as it would have been easy to be planted as Kovacic looks like he's gonna go the other way.

But that save, that first save ffs

Watch Coleman, hands in head waiting for the ref to confirm its a goal as its an impossible save. An impossible save made possible by the unreal speed he gets up, races across 2 yards behind his line then dives back the other way even though his weight will want to take him the other way. Thays why the ball almost spins and checks like a golf ball.

Unreal.

Match winning saves are just incredible.

I don’t think I’ve seen a greater save than that, right up there with the best ever.

Thing is Mac Pickford made that incredible double save v Man City too. Gets forgotten but really it shouldn't. A competent VAR and that could have been another vital point for us.

If pickford can go from a mental case that does something horrible and insane every second game to become a consistent performer yoindont worry about. How come DCL can't learn how to score a goal for more than 5 yards out after all these years.

That save never got the credit it deserved being lost in the goal.

I missed the game today and have just seen his save. Can't remember a better save in almost 50 years of watching Everton off the top of my head. What a time to do it as well.
He's had some real highs and lows in his career but that's up there with grays diving headers and sheedys free kicks for me

The last time o can remember our keeper putting in a truely world class performance to keep a clean sheet like that was martyn against the RS that ended 0-0, when once of his saves was from gerrard who ran onto a ball and was about 10 yards out and blasted it toward to bottom corner and martyn pulled off a save that I had not seen since southall.
Pickford won us 3 points today and he had no right to save that rebound from mount , none at all.
