But from Pickford's point of view, he is #1 at Everton and will play whenever he is fit pretty much and there is not a lot of real competition behind him and he is #1 for England so Southgate is clearly happy with the level he is playing at. Southgate might even like that he's playing for Everton because it means that realistically, he is going to be doing more work than if he were at Spurs so it keeps him sharp and focused.

I think we all know that its when Pickford loses focus that the problems can happen but hope those days are long gone now.

There has definitely been a more sustained level of maturity, over the last 18 months we have seen it. First half of 2 seasons ago he was only going one way, and that was down but after that Christmas when Ancelotti started to rotate he really buckled down and has not look back.

As you said hopefully the immature days are over now and he can continue to stick 2 fingers up to the 'We love Ramsdale' media.

Sensible , spend any money on yourselves, when I got married second time in 82 I never told any of my family as I wanted a quiet one and knew my Mom would try and take over, cost us about 100 quid in dress, Registrar and church fee's
