Obviously nothing to do with Pickford even says he leaves before a fight broke out in various other articles. Total non story and just using his name and the fact he was there imo. Do think it’s acceptable to get abused when you go for a drink or meal or whatever they did. Football pitch yes have it there, but outside of no it’s totally immoral.

Your telling me if someone you didn’t know started abusing you, you’d sit there and take it? I’d say you be lying if you wouldn’t do or say anything back and you would “get rattled” yourself. Makes no difference who he plays for, how much he is on. I’d say most of us wouldn’t stand for it either.

and if it would have been RS player in exactly the same circs the story would be RS player in heroic dash for the door to diffuse fight. Captain Hendo sorted it out with a stern gurn.

Got England all the way to the final of the Euros and even saved a pen from the best penalty taker in the world during the shootout but nah, media still not having him!

Mocking and digging high profile players when they’re making mistakes comes with the territory and I’m sure Pickford had no complaints a couple years ago when the media was desperate for him not to be England keeper in the Euros because, to be Frank, most of us were desperate for him not even to be Everton keeper but how is he still getting stick now? When was the last time he even made an error? He’s been brilliant for well over a year now and he went all the way to penalties with England in the euros.
