2022/23 Jordan Pickford

Hard to do that when he’s had such a direct impact on where the football club is right now.

Ah yeah I forgot he gave himself 1.5 mill to spend, sold Richarlison and Gordon, bought Maupay and McNeill, didn’t buy a one in January, injured Calvert Lewin, and lost a load of games in the first half of this season

Er, that's Pickford's...we know he's had a few- i said others- research them and get your answer- you can even do Big Nev the year he was voted Footballer of the Year and find some clangers (i'll start you off- Spurs (h), Norwich (a), Ipswich (h)). If you're going to say Pickford was at fault vs Man Utd earlier this season, then Martyn did plenty of them (beaten at near post vs RS, fumbled weak shot into the path of striker vs Arsenal, etc).

Martyn didn't have as many shockers than Howard, who had so many poor performances at Everton, it got to the point where the fans would sarcastically clap him for catching a ball (harshly, in my view).
If we start comparing Pickford to Martyn and Southall it isn't going to look good for him is it. Those two never made a mistake as horrendous as he did at Anfield for that Origi goal.

He lives in our minds because we remember the damage he did and will never forgive it.

He lives in your heart because you love him.

"Evertonians", you and ForeverBlurt btw.

I supported him when he was Everton manager, until it was time for him to be fired. Same as Lampard, same as the five others before him. If people really think Benitez is all that is wrong at the club, or even the root cause of it, after what’s transpired over the last 12 months then that’s a view blinkered solely on the fact he used to manage a team that happens to be our local rivals.

He was and is a mercenary manager who would obviously manage anyone (supported by the fact he destroyed his own Liverpool legacy by managing us). He’s not arsed about Liverpool, and he’s not arsed about us, he traded his labour for money for a client until the client didn’t want him and he’s off onto the next one.

For me he’s just filed under Koeman Silva Allardyce Lampard as a manager who didn’t get good enough results to stay. I’m more annoyed at Ancelotti for bailing on us. If people want to keep obsessing over Benitez though because he once managed Liverpool then have at it but it’s pretty much got little relevance to our current situation. We’ve been in PL relegation battles for our entire PL existence except for a period when Moyes has us stable in the top half. Someone needs to be asking the question ‘why’ rather than mindlessly saying ‘fat fat sack sack’ ‘we don’t forget’ Benitez worshippers‘. Very very bizarre behaviour when another manager has been and gone already.

All of that just to dance around admitting you love the fat whopper.

Weird.

So he doesn’t gurn like a demented toddler and bark abuse at his defenders every time he makes any sort of save? Ok then.

Look I don’t mind Pickford but the way he carries is on is pretty pathetic.
Tell you what, some of you people would have had a field day with some of Nev’s idiosyncrasies.
