We upgraded on Rivharlison with Maupay who has a better scoring record this season in the premier league than him.

Apparently according to google there are 3903 professional football teams in the world. Let’s say each has a conservative 3 or so within their club. That means there are around 12k professional goalkeepers in world football and we seem to all agree he’s probably in the top 25 which means he’s in the top 0.002%.
I call that elite.

I mean you can’t argue with that maths.
Personally though I wouldn’t say the 25th best keeper in the world, whoever that is, is elite level. I don’t even think the likes of Ramsdale is elite and he plays for the current league leaders.
Might there be some in here hating on Pickford but who were happy Maupay signed? Surely this would invalidate their big soccer galaxy brain @MaupsGoat.
That’s fair enough, I’d struggle to name 25 better than him personally. I think he’s better than Ramsdale from what I’ve seen, league leader or not.
I’d say just because a team is league leader doesn’t mean all their players are elite, just like how even though we’re crap can’t mean we don’t have one elite player. We had Rooney the season we finished 17th, sold him and finished 4th with no elite players.
Probably best to just agree I think he’s better than you do but you probably think he’s our best player too

I think hes become a very decent keeper, and was content when he signed a new contract. I do not think he is elite or among the 25 best keepers in the world - compare prime Pickford with prime Neuer and the quality difference would be too big to put them in the same bracket - but we can agree to disagree, yet both be happy we have a good keeper.
