The defense line was all over the place and broken what with changes in personal and players swapping positions. If that chance had fallen before changes in the back line very likely been offside by country mile. Pickford pretty much regarded by most as England's best by the many..Like I said, they hung him out to dry. Something Everton's defenders did with regularity last season. I just don't get all the hate on Pickford. Don't understand it at all. Players reach their prime at later ages the farther back they play. That's why your top goalkeepers are almost always in their mid- to late-30s. Pickford is still learning his trade; put a competent defence in front of him and he'll thrive without the pressure of having to singlehandedly produce a clean sheet.
