It’s not “hope”, throughout Dom’s time at the club there’s been complete faith from the staff that he would grow into a complete striker.

I’m not saying you don’t rate him, because that’s obviously not true. However to suggest that his development wasn’t expected by the club and we planned it, isn’t really fair on Marcel and the rest of the staff.

I’m not saying you don’t rate him, because that’s obviously not true. However to suggest that his development wasn’t expected by the club and we planned it, isn’t really fair on Marcel and the rest of the staff.

But the word lucky was nothing to do with Doms ability or his work ethic or his potential to get better and that is what is being coming back at me, it's not what I mean in the slightest.

He’s no Haaland - he’ll be one of the two best players in the world alongside Mbappe for his whole career - but that’s like saying Kane can’t be judged as one of the best strikers because he’s not Ronaldo lol

Would anyone calling it delusional to say he’s a top young striker like to list all the strikers ~24 who are better than him?

His two month goal drought comes at a time where we’ve been set up to defend as we’ve had no quality to create chances because of injuries.

We should be getting Europe next season, which gives Zirkzee just as many opportunities to develop as DCL as had. He could be the next DCL

We're not saying Brands is lucky, or blaming him for anything. We are saying that DCL was lucky that he was in the position he was, and that people like Brands had faith in him when many others (inc his manager apparently) didn't. It's really not very difficult to understand.

DCL to Haaland is not like Kane to Ronaldo.....

I don't follow other leagues that closely, but there's enough in the Prem alone without extending that to Europe and including all the Haalands, Mbappes etc etc.
