As for players... Sandro and Gbamin were, for different reasons, a disaster but I could see some logic to the signings.

Michael Keane for £30m is a shocker. David Weir would be worth £90m. I liked Weir for the record. Stupid money for a bottom half of the Premier League centre back.

Then you're onto Mina (included due to injuries), Godfrey, Gbamin, Gomes, Delph, Allan (to an extent) and Mykolenko. How many of those had an actual impact?

The worst part is nobody else was even in for these players so we did we pay so much and give them such high wages?

We dont even miss any of them (maybe Sigurdsson slightly).

Most of them you could have replaced with youth team players for nothing and got the same results out of them.

They do my head in.

Under Walsh, we threw money at the problem and hoped and prayed it would all come together. Unsurprisingly, it was short-sighted and failed.

Clubs knew we had money, knew we were somewhat desperate (see Brand's quote today about quick success) and pulled our pants down.

All the years of slow, careful purchases under Moyes and Martinez went out the window in one fell swoop, and it's undermined us ever since.
 

Davy Klassen was bad and Sandro was a player who was entirely pointless and placed on such big wages we couldn't shift him!

Managers is easy Benitez is by far and away the worst, should never have happened and was destined to fail from the start. I also never thought I'd see the day Gravey Tits Allerdyce managed this club, bit he did do what he set out to do so can't be to hard on him.

Yeah pretty much.

We do some proper baffling stuff too, we always seem to be short of a position somewhere. Combine that with mad loans for players who never play, signing completely different types of player and playing them in exactly the same way (DCL and Maupay) and letting players go for no reason (why was Rondon and Cannon let go when we had zero strikers? I know Rondon was crap but still...) it's easy to see why we are in the mess we are in.
 
Benitez, Lampard and Dyche take some beating. Hiring 3 of the poorest managers around back to back is something to behold. Mind you keeping good times Bill as Chairman after purchasing a majority stake takes some beating too. The players are a reflection of the shambolic leadership. Absolutely atrocious. I wouldn't trust anyone at the club to even run a game of subbuteo.
 

I have such a disconnect to everything.

Felt we were starting to recover under Silva, and him bringing the passion and fight of a Richarlison are the only positives for
Me.

I detest everything else that’s happened in the past 10 years.
