I have yet to see a single decent quote that suggests that this is anything more than just a rumour and everyone is going crazy about it? Christ sake it's just a rumour chill out. Fume if he's holding a royal blue shirt on the OS or SSN.

Oh and he is the definition of turbo gash.

Agent starts making a few snide phone calls hoping something will catch
Some nonse picks up the story and it starts gathering pace
Daily rags pick up on it and through it on there site, maybe in the paper tomorrow (but very very doubtful)

Aside from the fact we're blatantly not even in for him, it's incredibly annoying that we're linked with this calibre of player. Shows people still think of us as crappy old Everton.

again though, if your trying to drum up interest for a mid table player, why leak the name of a top 4 chasing team? as if anything that would put realistic takers off trying knowing full well he's gonna come to us.

Example say Diego's agent does the same, would teams like us/around our level/finances be more likely to register interest in him if the agent says Newcastle/Sevilla or some 10th place side are interested or Man City or PSG, Chelsea are interested?

it doesn't make sense mate

There are numerous reasons; 1 being it could be used to force their hand and secondly his wages.

You've got to remember the agent makes money off the player, a player sitting on the bench, or in his case the reserves, is not making an agent any money. Try everything and anything possible to get a move.
