Kevin Mirallas

He's NOT gone for the "I'm the hero and I will score for US" routine because he's gone against instructions and team mates.

He's gone out to show how wonderful and superior HE is and pad his goals tally to either negoatiate a higher deal inside the club OR get a more lucrative deal elsewhere.

He needs to be sold NOW and a replacement brought in.

Has anyone seen Baines' recent penalties? After the horrible miss against ManU, the ones he's scored haven't looked flash. No wonder Kev took the ball by the horns.

But you cannot miss.

Knob.

Didn't he bury it past Adrian last week?

And I don't think it's fair to blame Baines for not objecting, when a player grabs the ball and steps up to the ball, you let them take it and you don't undermine them. Granted, I've only really seen this done when the player who steps up was actually involved in the sequence of play that lead to the penalty, or is on a brace, but I think the point stands that Baines was put in a difficult position. You don't want to undermine your teammate, and penalties are enough pressure without having to yank the ball off your teammate before even stepping up to take it.

Also don't remember where Jags was during the incident, but it sounds like he was on the other end of the pitch so not much he could do about it.

And I don't think this incident gives us any deep insights into the psyche or motivations of Kevin Mirallas. He stepped up because he wanted to score and he failed. If he signs a new contract, I will forget about this very quickly. If he doesn't, well he probably wasn't planning on it before any of this happens, so its not a big deal.

I'm upset about the 2 points obviously, but I don't think dissecting this incident to try to ascertain the inner-workings of the dressing room is at all useful.

He's a tit for creating that whole episode! Put himself under stupid pressure for taking a spot kick.

Jags, for 1 wasn't looking till it was to late. Then what's he gonna do? As captain demand the ball, give it to baines and then turn all that pressure on baines? Haha...sure baines wouldn't thank him for that!!

As for selling Miralass because of it?? Are you serious?? He's one of our best players and we need to keep him!! He should get a bollocking. And even if not publicly, I'd hope he appoligises to his teammates.

The fact he would do that tho under the current manager is worrying. He wouldn't of done that under Moyes I'm sure.

Problem is, I don't think he will. He's selfish. He more than likely be sulking because he was subbed.

Add to the fact he wants out means he's done at Everton. Sadly.

It's a tricky situation he put himself and Everton in, because at the end of the day we are short of wide players already and we can't afford to lose our best one! Even if the club does stand by him, will the fans? Will he get some treatment next time he steps out at Goodison?

It's a situation that needs sorted straight away
