Kevin Mirallas

Petulance breeds petulance,at the sake of repeating myself here I think Mirallas simply as a player WAS a worthy asset but he has lost his way mentally e.g. diving at every opportunity and making rash tackles (Saturday was not a one off) We can't get rid until the season has finished by which time with the new money in hand we will have new players to replace him whether it is Yarmolenko or anyone else.I admire the fact that you are defending a player whom you obviously like but all in all until he is prepared to sort himself out we are better off without him than with him.

another over reaction, presume you want deulofeu & mccarthy sold as well then? Both have been booked for diving and mccarthy makes many more "rash" tackles than mirallas

We all know he wanted away last year.
The contract extension was a surprise but it only came about because of a lack of interest from clubs that KM thought were his standard.
I think he will go this summer for definite.

Well thats not right at all is it really, a want away player can walk away in a season for free and improve not only his wages considerably but the amount of clubs that will be after him due to him being a free transfer but he signs a new deal greatly restricting his options in the future.

It makes virtually no sense at all

Think we have seen the last of our Kev.

Shame, i still think he lost a lot of faith over that penalty, which considering the circumstances he wanted to take it makes me feel bit more sorry for him.

He's a little snide, and we don't have many of them left anymore.

I want him to succeed and on his day he's a real asset for us.

I don't agree with this concept that he's been hard done by though.

He's had bad luck with injuries and ultimately we have played a slightly different style at times this season that hasn't being able to accommodate him.

He definitely adds extra quality to our side and I don't think that Saturday is the last time we will see him play for us or anything, but he just lacks the consistency that a player at his age (28 - so in his prime really) should have.

It's a shame but it's how it is and at this stage I don't even think he'll go to the Euros. Hasn't helped himself with two stupid red cards either - or helped us, for that matter.

......in much the same way he apparently has with McGeady, RM appears to freeze players out that he has a grudge with. I wonder if we might not see Mirallas for quite a while.

The stats defend him mate. I'm just pointing them out. I am surprised that people allow their dislike of a player, based on spurious amateur interpretations of his "attitude", to overwhelm their ability to count things like goals and assists. There is simply no statistical argument to support the suggestion that we are better of with Kone or Pienaar on the left than Mirallas. You might have a point with Cleverley, but only time will tell on that front.

As you say, we can't sell anyone until the summer.... so I would suggest that we should be making better use of a player like Mirallas while he is here - admittedly that is difficult when he's suspended!
