Anything to not blame Mirallas eh? Jesus Christ.

It was just the act of lifting his foot off the ground, straightening the leg and moving forward with it with studs up over the ball and into the players ankle/foot.

Not the worst tackle you'll ever see and pretty certainly not done with intent to hurt but that kind of tackle is what can break standing legs so players should know you can't tackle like that.

Similar to Diers scissor tackle on Cleverly, even though i think that went unpunished it's that type of tackling that should be penalised because of the damage it can do.
The tackle that Kev suffered in the Watford game was similarly dangerous iirc, was lucky his ankle wasn't hurt more and as it was it forced him out the game. Can't remember if that was punished by a yellow or not.

Yeah Behrami got booked for it, that's why he didn't face FA punishment afterwards. That was worse than Mirallas' yesterday imo.

After seeing the tackle a few times now, I have to say that the red was harsh. Especially considering that he'd only been the pitch for 2 minutes and considering that it was his first tackle.

injuries are going to happen, it's a contact sport, they're getting paid millions, i'm sure every footballer would happily take one broken leg in their career as a sacrifice for the millions they'll earn. i bloody would any way. we don't want to banish tackles. I understand why it's in place, but players pull their hamstrings all the time under no contact. it's just unfortunate. stamping with intent should obviously be banished.

I look at it this way, if that was say Cline on Ross I would want him banned full stop, it was avoidable and it was malicious.

It probably was a sending off but not holding any grudges against kev, that nasty snidey part of the game was lacking in our side not so long ago. I wouldn't like to see kev without that bit of anger and aggression

At the time I thought it was just a stupid tackle. Having seen it back while watching MOTD, me and my mates all agreed a red was probably harsh, but it won't be rescinded as it was over the top. Certainly it wasn't anymore dangerous than the tackle on Stones, it was just a lazy tackle but there was no stamping action. He's gone in to try and have a nibble and nothing more. As I said, stupid, but nothing against Kev per say, or the change.

The way to do it is to be snide but clever enough about it to not get booked. Naismith's the perfect example.

If you're frustrated at not starting a match it probably won't help your cause to ensure you won't start the next three.

What a time to be suspended! And with Cleverley out too.

Reading v Everton - He started against Barnsley and scored our first goal. Certain to have started against Reading.
West Brom v Everton - He could have helped unlock their defence.
Everton v Liverpool - We need a strong team and bench. Could have exploited space against their 3-4-2-1 formation.

But he will be ready for
Everton v Man Utd
Arsenal v Everton
