Not really sure how you can judge Kev's form this season when he's had almost no opportunity to play. He's had ONE start in the prem, back on day one vs Watford. Since then he's had four appearances coming off the bench adding up to a total of 91 minutes. By comparison, his two starts in the League Cup have returned one goal and one assist in just over 200 minutes. Whilst he's not been delivering like Del has, he's also not been given the number of starts, appearances or minutes on the field that Del has either. Maybe he's looking poo in training, but maybe there are other reasons Martinez won't play him?
How was I to know Arouna was lurking on here, seeking inspiration?
Getting himself suspended for three matches probably had something to do with it, as did the smash on the ankle against Watford. He hasn't really been both fit and available very often this season.

KEVIN MIRALLAS is growing increasingly concerned his lack of minutes for Everton could hinder his hopes of going to Euro 2016 with Belgium.

The attacker signed a new contract in the summer despite having appeared set to leave Goodison Park, but has struggled to force his way into manager Roberto Martinez's plans.
Mirallas, who has been hit by injury and suspension, has not started a league game since the opening weekend of the season and has seen the likes of Gerard Deulofeu, Aaron Lennon, Arouna Kone and Steven Naimsith picked ahead of him.
He was handed a 25 minute cameo in Sunday's 6-2 win over Sunderland when replacing Deulofeu but could look to review his situation in January.
Belgium coach Marc Wilmots omitted Mirallas for last month's Euro 2016 qualifiers with Andorra and Israel which his side won to climb to the top of Fifa's world rankings.

I do think the manager is trying to get him more involved in the first team in recent times.
It must be difficult for a player who was nearly always a first team starter to play a peripheral role even though
fully fit for quite some time.
The key is how he has been performing in training and what attitude he has been showing .
One injury could bring him front and centre again.

i love him, but it's hard to fit him into our best XI atm with the way barkley, kone, dela and lukaku have played.
You have to admire him if the belgian story is correct, but would it really help. He's utter class, but there's a hell of a lot of of good attacking players in the belgian squad atm. He's never really been a permanent fixture anyway.

If he seriously still thinks he should be starting for us after seeing Deulofeu and Kone play absolute blinders yesterday then he's deluded. Kevin needs to get back to his best to even have a sniff of getting in over one of them.

I wouldn't say he's looked bad. He's only played in like 7 games I think, and probably 3 of those were off the bench. Not that he's particularly stood out, either.
Just think both Kone and Deulofeu have both been playing well, recently. And of course his injury at the beginning of the season coupled with his 3 match ban haven't helped matters either.
He'll get chances though, and like you say, I suspect he will take them.

i think if he's looking to move for 1st team footy that's the opposite of being deluded.

Which team is better than us where he's definitely going to get first-team football though? He needs to have taken a good look at that match yesterday and have realised that he if wants to cut it at a big club, which we are, then he needs to really step it up or otherwise it's bench-duty or dropping down to a team not as good as us.
