Kev does burn hot and cold, but so does Deulofeu. It's mainly getting the balance of the side right to be able to incorporate them both in the same side.
The thing is with us, even if RM were to start two wingers, we seem to get bogged down if we don't get an early breakthrough - especially at home. It's why Cleverley coming back will be a real bonus, I think, as much as I'd like to see Kev and Del play in the same team. Unfortunately, if both have off days, it does leave us without options then from the bench.
Personally, I think the best game to start two wingers would be Middlesbrough away in the cup - or a game like that anyway.
We did it in Europe last year - particularly at Wolfsburg away - which is still one of our best displays in RM's era, for me. We were brilliant that day in both defence and attack - with Kev having a really good game.
Now i'm not saying Middlesbrough are anywhere near as good as Wolfsburg and we should sit back and counter attack. But away from home, in front of what will be a full house for a quarter final, we probably will have to do quite a bit of defending - considering how Boro like to play under Karanca.
Personally, that's where I feel playing two out and out wingers pays off, as it gives them the space to play on the counter and Del and Kev are both rapid when they get going.
