If Aaron Lennon was picked ahead a me i would be asking questions that said you need to earn your place you where sent off and suspended for three games your own fault.
Martinez doesn't seem to like him he thrived under moyes

He has played some good stuff under Bobby, mind.

Though not nearly consistently enough.

There is a major international tournament coming up next summer and he wants regular football to try and win his place in his national side. Hardly a crime is it? If he wasn't arsed about playing he would be lambasted for that as well.

If he does well enough he will get a place, if not he won't. Everton won't let him go out in January so at worst it's looking like he might go in the summer.

Players come, players go....NEA

Quality player that I hope stays.. but it will be difficult for him to win a starting role considering the scintillating form of Kone and Deulofeu.

More Belgium waffle from the guy who's talked about leaving practically since the day he arrived.

Take the hint Kevin we're the best you can hope for. If you're so desperate for first team football it's going to be a step down from Everton.

He said that he wants to play for the club. It's burried deep in the article, but he says he wants to be a team player and to prove it. The other quotes are the better ones but, unlike in the summer when he said he wasn't happy, he said that he is simply frustrated by a lack of game tiem and it is up to him to prove himself.

If he doesn't do that then he'll be off and we can thank him for 3 good years service and we'll make a tidy profit on him. But he still has a lot to offer us and he needs to get the best out of himself. He came on against Sunderland and looked like the Kev of old. One goal and his confidence will shoot up again. There's no point selling what is a real matchwinner in January when we have no need to and no realistic hope of replacing him with similar quality at that time.

He signed a new contract in the summer, he says that he wants to play for Everton...then he says in the next breath that he'll consider a departure if he doesn't get his place in the team.

Forgive me for seeing in that statement a player who's out of the first team through poor form and the better form of others and who's unwilling to do what everyone else does: bide their time and take their chance.

He's a phoney. And he's bad news if you're looking for a settled group of players all pulling in the same direction. The time has come to cut him off and bring someone in with a better attitude and team ethic than him. He is literally a waste of money and a squad place.

Im sure he will get some game time at some point

Mirallas cannot do it for a full season anyway to Martinez is just saving him for the 2nd half of the season

I agree in principle, but given his quality (and he is quality) then I don't see the point in trying to flog him in January given that it would be very difficult to get a player of similar quality in. Plus, as @Raino85 has pointed out, we could see the best of Kev come the second half of the season.

Deulofeu is going to either have a dip in form or injury at some point. To have someone of Mirallas' ability to come in and replace him is brilliant.

I think January would be a good time to sell him, hopefully get around 12 - 15 million for him.

But we wouldn't get that much if we sold him in Jan as teams would know that he wanted out. That therefore drives the price-down, and also means we'd be scrambling around/overpaying for a replacement. January window should be used to add one or two players IF needed.

If he could ever harness what he has to a team effort he'd be a real asset. I know there's a list somewhere usually dragged out concerning his assists, but he really is a problem for a team that likes to counter attack as we do. That sounds counter-intuitive given the pace he can carry the ball at, but it also requires releasing the ball early to team-mates to really stretch the opposition and put them on the rack, and it's something Mirallas is always unwilling to do until he runs out of track himself and there's no other option than the pass. He could do himself a favour and watch a kid like Deulofeu who has more talent on the ball than him but instinctively knows what will hurt the opposition more: run with the ball or release it quickly to a team mate moving into space ahead of him.

He's a ball hugger Mirallas. He plays for himself and no one else. He's not the right player for our system. Talented or not.
