Kevin Mirallas

He'd be starting if it was my choice, although he can blow hot and cold he offers more than most of the others in terms of ability. I find it a bit puzzling how he's not but it's not my choice and it's not something that I'm outraged over it's the managers choice. If I was him i'd be wanting more games.

Why do people actively want to sell him?

On his day he can be one of our best players, and though he is inconsistent, we won't get much better than him for the money we paid.

I do wish he would realise we're probably the highest level he could play at as well, but still, love the sexy boz-eyed Belgian.

I dont mind Naismith. However like you say he's not good enough to be starting games and at this moment in time neither are McGeady, Mirallas, Pienaar or Osman.

I think the writing is on the wall for McGeady and Osman + Pienaar will be out of contract at the end of the season.

We have Kone on the left, we also have Cleverley who is favoured there.

If Mirallas, McGeady and Naismith were sold i would be confident that we could sign a LW as first choice with the money. Then additionally use funds to bring in competition for Lukaku and still have two players for every position with others also able to slot in.

This isn't FM2016 mate. You can't just dump six players in one go and expect to buy three better ones with the proceeds at a time that suits you. You might raise £20m by selling Mirallas, McGeady and Naismith - in a good window you might even get £25m - but you want to immediately sign a new starting LW and competition for Rom? Good luck with that.

Mirallas is worth more to us than the money his sale would raise. He can play on the left or the right, is a viable option as a striker (arguably the best finisher at the club), and is younger than Kone so we can expect him to play for longer. He has a track record for assists and goals, and was delivering these when Kone was doing absolutely nothing. It makes far more sense to keep him so that we can use him when one or more of Kone or Deulofeu lose their form, or suffer an injury, than it does to sell him simply because he isn't currently starting. If we are going to dispense with Pienaar and McGeady (and I hope you are right on that) then we can't let Mirallas go too without leaving us a little light when it comes to attacking depth - because he and Kone are our only backups for Lukaku, and Kone's currently starting games.

My problem with Kev is that he doesn't play enough. He does look lazy sometimes and if it's because of a poor attitude, maybe it's
because he isn't selected very often.

There's no doubt that when he's playing well he has to be in the team. It might be a good idea for RM to tell him he's getting a
run of starts, and 'show me what you can do'.

True this but Martinez shouldn't be starting him just to keep him happy unless it is the best for Everton, but sadly for Kev it isn't. Good player but not a starter right now.
Too man players this season have taken there chance, played themselves into the starting 11, Naismith did it earlier in the season, Kone has done it, Kev hasn't been able to.

I was thinking more about giving him a gee-up to hopefully making him more positive and enthusiastic. I agree that he's done nothing
to deserve a regular start but he's no use to us unless he is playing, and the only way to get him back to his best is to get him on
the ground. I think he needs some encouragement.

Why not dump 6 players? In the next 12 months: Pienaar/Osman/Hibbert/Gibson/McGeady will be gone and thats 5 already!!!

If you take it that those players have limited or no use to the squad then scratch them off.

In reality on the playing side i would advocate selling Naismith and Mirallas for say £16mil. Then using the money to sign a top LW. He would have cover from Kone/Cleverley.

Then with tv money replace Howard and get someone to compete with Lukaku.

So on the playing side actually 2 ACTIVE players out and 2 players in + switch Howard for someone.

I'd say he's probably the best finisher at the club just seems to over-elaborate during the 8 minutes he gets per match; can't really blame him though, I'd be trying rainbow flicks and everything if I only got a few minutes to show the boss I deserved a starting place.

Wouldn't you tho? Imagine being a talented professional footballer and Steven Naismith gets a game ahead of yer
