I actually think he will pull a few rabbits out the hat mate - I think besides the obvious of being restricted on what money we have, he's trying to at least think laterally to get as many of the needs for Lampard filled with limited up front funds.

Only time will show ofc BUT if we'd just say payed up the release of Cornett and agreed to the loan with obligation on Winks - sone would feel he's doing a better job than now as he got two players in, despite that would likely cripple us on other deals meaning we would for certain have 2-3 massive holes in the squad.

Is he? Because so far all I've seen are links to overpriced PL players we can't afford.

I would not be applauding him for spending £17m on Cornet and a future £20m on Winks. You'd have to sniff pritt sticks to think that.
