Don't be surprised if it's all still being led by the board mate. Some of the targets being linked are ones that we have been linked to previously pre Thelwell/Lampard. If he was in charge of it I would have expected him to have appointed some sort of head of recruitment by now and his own trusted scouts (nothing as of yet) all the changes have been towards the academy (which is where I think he will do his work largely)

I don’t think the names being linked are necessarily the boards doing this time. A lot of the links have connections to Thelwell in some form so I would say he is in control which is progress but I just hope he is up to the job

Richarlison sale was inevitable at some point with the club languishing where it is. Hardly Thelwell’s fault that he had to go to balance the books.
Yes business has been slow but I’d genuinely be more worried if we were doing what Forest are doing and buying everyone.
They have to be the right characters otherwise they’ll just add to the malaise.

A lot of these have been linked before mate, also we already know it's Kenwright still doing the actual deals. If they are his names then they are pretty poor ones regardless of budget and (as I said above) we are in an awkward situation at the moment so should have had someone with specialist player knowledge (head of recruitment) to help make the money go further. Thelwell has very little experience of previous recruitment, at Wolves I imagine everything was controlled by Mendes and he wasn't at NY Red Bulls long enough (and they had no money) to actually make any difference.
