We did and he got here and took one look at the state of the club and changed his mind
So you think it’s fine to have one option and no alternatives whatsoever

So move on to alternatives like any other club would do. We still had a week and seemed to not have a clue what to do.We did and he got here and took one look at the state of the club and changed his mind

We were trying to rebuild the defence and midfield. Clearly it was thought Calvert Lewin might be able to play football at some point and we are not loaded with money so that we can go on wild spending sprees. Also something which needs to be remembered is that a lot of the cheaper foreign type options that could easily do a job for us, we are just not going to go in for those types simply because we tend to go down the PL experience route sad as it is. Hopefully when a certain person is not overseeing our transfer business that changes. What about the start of the season when Everton didnt have a single option to select a recognised striker to put on the pitch against Chelsea. I have rarely seen anything like that at this level of football.
Based on that video, id guess maybe? Not a very impressive highlight reel and 0 goals this season in Germany isnt exactly an endorsement. Might work better as a target man tho, i know nothing about him except hes already losing his hair at 28, not a sign of virility. So £16m Maupay would been a better option than this lad on a cheap loan?

From the recent appointments made I'm doubting he will be directly involved in scouting

Until we sold Gordon we were only looking at loans as we have no money, this club makes no money and we have zero room left to spend on wages either.

Good point. The bar is Neal Maupay though.
Youre probably right, Maupay is wasting space when not playing off a main striker, and we dont have one he can play off of. Such an odd deal.I can assure you he’d have been 10x more useful than Maupay. He’s not even great he was just cheap, available and fits a glaring skill set we have missing up top.
