Could aim this at the Board thread but you can have it Thelwall. Did you notice Inggs scoring 2 today, together with Gyokeres 2 transfer windows since Richy has gone, Maupay bought as a replacement How on earth we paid £12 million beggars belief. I really feel we are doomed this time.

I keep wondering how on earth this 120 point plan of his didn't include getting a centre forward in. 'Big Kev' 'doing bits' ffs
I would imagine because most of it was infrastructure related stuff not recruitment. We run at something like 90% of our turnover going on wages, I'm not sure how people expect us to sign players on that, we have already been under special measures from the PL. Thelwell has become an easy target for people, if you want to throw anything at him Id say have a go at him for not getting rid of some of the deadwood.

He did sign a CF - one suited for a 352 but Lampard changed things to 433 after 2-3 games.

Not Big Kevs fault the manager couldn't decide on a system.

January window was too difficult - we had no money and we were managerless for a period also.

Ya'll want him to change the whole dysfunctional club in less than 12 months which is simply unrealistic.

Lampard/Kenwright have put us in this mess its time peeps accepted that.

Did he sign Maupay? Was he prepared to give Gordon 80 grand a week? I doubt that Maupay and McNeill play for no wages so it seems reasonable to suppose that their fees and salaries could have financed a striker, which was a much more glaring need.

Lampard, Kenwright, Benitez, Moshiri and Thelwell it's about time you accepted that.

You'd have to be very naïve to think that Thelwell didn't want a CF. It's very well documented we were working within the loans and free agents market cause we haven't a pot to piss in.
He spent money on two forwards, Maupay and McNeill, this money could and should have been used to sign a centre forward which is clearly the most pressing need.

I mean Maupay is a centre forward. Without McNeill (who I'm not a big fan of FYI) we'd be stuck with Gray and Iwobi as our only wide options right now.

I don't think anyone expect Maupay to stink the gaff out quite so much. He's a proven PL goalscorer but looks miles off it for us.

Lampard,
Lampard, Kenwright, Benitez, Moshiri and Thelwell it's about time you accepted that.

Benitez has nothing to do with this season and being honest his points tally at the start of last season ultimately kept us up as Lampard was taking us down last year even with Richarlison.

Moshiri takes some previous blame but has had nothing to do with recruitment this season and has largely kept away from footballing matters.

Kenwright as chairman runs the football operation and has failed for near 2 decades.

Lampard has put us in a perilous position after losing big games to relegation rivals Bournemouth, Wolves, Southampton and with just 3 wins in 20 league games has the worst record since Mike Walker.

Its clear to me who is responsible and it isn't Thelwell or Benitez who only draw so much heat because one supported LFC as a boy and the other once managed em...

If / When we get relegated Thelwell, like many before him, will be used as a scapegoat but not without signing a well paid non disclosure clause, again like many before him. Whilst the board sit back on their enormous salaries and sloping shoulders on another fall guy, ' Rinse, Sack, Repeat ' !!
