You sign somebody who is 21 because he has the potential to grown into a premier league player.
You sign someone at 28 in that league as noting but a desperate punt. The chances of them being good enough are low.
Are the chances of them being useful to our survival lower than signing no one at all.
It is a good record mate. Especially for a team not in the bottom half. Not many striker will average better than that.
So just sign anyone then. Might as well.
Chances are that lad isn’t good enough and as Dyche said, he didn’t want us signing players for the sake of it. They have to offer something.

Maupay and McNeill cost big money, Big Kev' should have perhaps used that money to bring in a striker. We made a bid for Beto on deadline day, allegedly, why on earth wait until deadline day? No way a club sell a player just before the window closes unless they have to.
