Can imagine, all that crowing about "he's filled 27 different roles since he's been in charge".......we get relegated and a few of those roles will be the first to be getting binned off as part of the cost cutting exercise which we'll will have to do due to the wages we pay.

He's an absolute clown and even if we avoid relegation, needs to be binned off as he was hired by a clueless board.

I think it really can be the case that he is not being fully allowed to do his job but he's also bad at doing a big part of the job, which is ensuring recruitment was sorted.

I've said it before but HOW was a HoR not his first appointment ahead of the summer? Crazy.

We've now filled HoR with our chief scout who has never done the role before and is responsible for corkers such as 20 million Mykolenko and Neal Maupay.

He's been in it for about 3 months now they just didn't officially confirm it.

I've been told he's a good scout and knows his stuff. It might be the right move. But personally I think we had to use the chance to get in fresh blood.

Indeed, it seems odd that we did it with the guy from Brighton but seemingly not with this role.

Unfortunately I don’t think he’ll get that opportunity due to our financial constraints.

I agree that his signings so far (in the main) suggest that he’d manage to reach that level of incompetence comfortably if given the money though.

Yeah, to be honest we're still looking for a lukaku replacement, not just a Dominic Calvert-Lewin back up. we've had Niasse, Tosun, Kone and Rondon - hardly the result of clever scouting

Agreed. He had one job to do - get a striker in - and he just said "That's too hard, I'll put a 120 point plan together instead"
He was then caught like a rabbit in the headlights and bought the worst player he could find for that position. I can't bring myself to even say our number 20s name, he is so bad.

Lets imagine Maupay was still at Brighton and not an Everton player, and was available, and we went out and bought him, would you say he has done his job because he got Maupay?
Or lets say Sunderland owner a player called Simms, he had scoed a few goals for him, good prospect, and Everton buy him, would you say he has done his job because he bought Simms?
We have those players now but if we had gone out and bought another player it would of been players like this, or a Tosun at best, no upgrades, nothing more then a punt and more lost money
