On the face of it and the mounting evidence of the last few years that seems to be the case but you sometimes get conflicting reports - I guess that’s what the owners want - no one to be held clearly accountable from the outside looking in - lacking complete transparency

Should just resign if hands are being tied behind his back. Like brands, it is only damaging his image and reputation. I agree it is definitely hard working at that club. You only have to see farhad interview when asked about the DOF. He didn’t seem to know what the job is. Easy for me to say they should resign when they getting paid millions a year though to be fair.

Godfrey was down to the chairman and his contacts and Id be very surprised if Brands whose idea of a wide player was more Luis Diaz type really picked Iwobi as a signing, Brands signings were the ones all around the £20-25m mark as that is his market he likes to work in. Hence he had little to do with Iwobi.

Tbh I don't think it's fair to comment on any of the DoF we have had as the structure is so muddled and we know there is clear interference from above it's impossible to say who bought which player unless you where actually in that boardroom. These constant conversations about who is responsible for this player and that player and the fact we didn't sign a striker are getting seriously tedious and a bit boring. We know we do things differently at EFC and hopefully things will change for the better soon.

I don’t blame them for trying to make a fist of it for a period of time….I think he has been here just over a year, I would hold them more accountable for signing up to it in the first place - he was the third DoF and there had been public mentions of how dysfunctional we were…so he knew what he was getting into presumably
