I agree with others that it's difficult to say which person is responsible for which signing. What Brands has said may be 100% true. However, it's also what I'd expect a former DoF to say after a less than impressive stint at any club. He's hardly likely to say 'mea culpa, I did a piss poor job'. If Brands admitted this he's not going to get another gig at a sizeable club(apart from maybe Sunderland).

Least Brands had some pull

what have you heard?
Well for one that he absolutely had full remit - along with Lampard - over recruitment last summer and all the planning for January.

That he's leaked to people who are involved in recruitment that they weren't able to get a striker in because they didn't think they'd have to change manager and apparently they were looking at different types of forward for Lampard than Dyche - which may be true, but if they were looking at those different types of forward then they're idiots, because the striker that we need now is exactly the striker we needed when Lampard was here.

Danjuma wasn't a lone striker for Lampard or Dyche, yet they seemed to think he could be.

I`ve heard similar reports, that he`s in a bit of trouble, for slagging the club off in private.

The bit in bold, about us getting money for Moise Kean this summer. Due to the allegations of financial irregularities and false accounting, I really think it’s possible Juventus will be in a position to pay us for him, or maybe not the agreed fee we thought. So, in that situation do we either accept him back as our player or have to agree a smaller fee with Juve?

If the agreement says they'll pay us then we receive the money.

Theres numerous reasons why its in their best interests to pay us. Not in the least because they will want to keep him.

I don't mind if he slagged the club off but he's very much part of the problem.

Total lack of awareness.

I've also heard he's very well thought of and there does have to be an element of sympathy, but I don't think there can be too much for him.

That probably says a lot…..the people who think well of him are the idiots running the show
