Why did we go into the season with six centre backs when the manager was going to be playing 433. Stacked at centre back with no forward/goal scoring options.

I’d just assumed he must have tried his best to get buyers for the likes of Holgate, Mina, Keane, Godfrey but no takers.

Then you read Michael Keane last week saying there were teams in for him during the summer, he wanted to go but the club told him they weren’t going to listen to offers. Why?

Lampard was never going to play Keane, we were desperate to trim wages and raise funds. Why are we not wanting to listen to offers for a player the manager doesn’t want, who is a reasonably high earner, who wants to go and in a position we have loads of cover?
