Thing is though, that isn't being "undermined" per se, it's the structure he signed up to. Until that structure above him changes, we will continue to have problems like this.
See I just can't really see this as being true (despite it sounding very Ev). If the heircarchy are so big on PL experience, rebuffing foreign strikers for Maupay, they'd never have shelled out £30m on Onana.
It can only be one strategy at the top or the other.

Clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. The money we’re offering includes very small upfront payment, which is why so little clubs are willing to do business.
Similar to Onana and Garner, we’re trying to pay minimal upfront payments and have many instalments to get around our shortcomings.
