I have defended Thelwell on here simply because, unless you are there working with him, no one knows that he is poor when you consider who he is working for. There is too much circumstantial evidence that things were crap before he rocked up, to say it is all on him or even partially on him, but equally I don’t understand how anyone can say he is doing a good job, when there is no way of knowing if he is performing poorly.
No one knows, but they see the result of games, of seasons and of transfer windows, look around to blame (what would be the third sucessive) the DoF. He seems to be the whipping boy (which probably comes with the territory), even though we know Moshiri and Kenwright should be given a restraining order against Everton.
The issues were here before he come and he does not look to have solved them. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have to do what my boss tells me and I can only spend in the budget what is available. I am pretty sure it’s the same for a lot of poster on here and it also applies to Thelwell.

Yes, would have been a shocking move, totally not suited for the PL and there is a reason he has ended up at Real Sociedad.
Allan Godfrey James was a fantastic striker for us in the 30’s. Won’t have a bad word said about him

Spot on, James was an exceptional talent for Everton, a gifted player one of the most natural footballers that's played for EFC, since Bally and Harvey.
If it wasn't for St Virgil, the Clog, crushing his nuts, who knows, what could have happened that season.

Addressed the forward situation with 4 incoming, and brought in Young who really should just be a utility option off the bench, that one is on Dyche by starting him.
Not sure what else he could have done, to be fair.
