Id love a couple more of similar profile to Ndiaye, having 3 quick, tricky attacking midfielders behind a good all rounder forward although for now I think Thelwell needs to concentrate on the FB positions, both sides.

Yes strikers bought in haste with limited funds haven't worked out, but the cost has been mitigated to some degree & Chermiti looks at least promising for longer term.
Kicking the can down the road at right back by extending the old boys is more likely to be not wanting to block the progression of our 2 young options.

Hopefully.... I don't know what the situation is with him, has apparently turned down Man City recently. Seems happy plying his trade in the league of Ireland until he finishes education and turns 18.

Can’t play for any PL team till he’s 18 so why sign for one now when there might be much better offers in a couple of years I guess.
He’s 18 in the autumn of 2025.
So if we are to do a deal it will be Jan, the summer, but he can’t move to England and work until then.
He will have plenty of offers. So far he’s resisted offers from clubs in the EU.
