2024/25 Kevin Thelwell

He’s meant to be the director of football mate. The football is garbage and the players are too.

What do you want me to judge him on? The curtains at Finch Farm?

Fun fact, I used to have Ray Wilkins curtains at home.

For me, i wont say anything bad against Thelwell due to all the interference.

He didnt pick the manager nor a number of our players -- as weve seen 'leaked'.

Need to see him with some money to spend (not signing players on tick).

It would be good to know if he endorses the excuse for a game plan currently on display. If he does, surely he has problems. If not then he should be trying not implement change.

I dont think he can until he solidifies his own position.

I expect TFG and him will be in conversation now.

The one thing saving Dyche is that Forest are 2nd

Pretty much spot on this.

If he thinks this is as good as can be delivered from today’s team (of which he’s been here for a lot of the recruitment) then he needs sacking.

Personally I suspect he is less than enthralled with the managers tactics.

He is trying to implement change, but only in the ares he can control / influence like the u21s/Academy . There he getting the youngsters and teams to play different formations , 442, 433, 424 etc . Part of this theory is that youngsters will get used to playing in different positions so that if they progress to the first team squad they can be better at sitting on the bench.

TFG need to have a complete overhaul. New manager, new DOF, new board.
Too drastic for me, if we got rid of everybody we’d likely be relegated this season or next . The lessons are there with the RS and United. When Herr Klopp left it was gloom and doom , they changed very little and brought in a manager who appears also to have changed little . ( I’m happy to be corrected on that as I actively avoid watching the RS) United on the other hand brought in Ratcliffe, Brailsford , changed their managers and appear to be getting worse, except when they play us.

TFG need to figure out who is doing a good job in which areas . Chong is no CEO but he’s a decent board member; if Dyche is to go then they need to figure out who is responsible for creating our good defensive record , is it Woan/ Stone ? Should they stay ?

For me Thelwell is a canny administrator and planner , does that make him a better Technical Director , taking away the responsibility for signings with the new CEO deciding on transfer spends?
There’s a lot for TFG to get their heads around , the trouble is they don’t have much time to do it.

I hope TFG are going to utilise Roma's scouts and not listen to a single word this clown says.
Roma's scouts have not done a great job this year bearing in mind where they are in the table. Saying that i am all for replacing thelwell asap...problem is that if you replace him now, that will be another excuse not to spend in January. We need to spend big in the coming weeks and find ways around psr, same as chelsea did

I dont think we can compare ourselves with the reds though. They made few changes because they had everything going smoothly in the right direction. We are the complete opposite and a bit of a mess. I think anything less than a complete overhaul of the club won't be enough.
