2024/25 Kevin Thelwell

KT has tried to sign Gibbs-White but was blown out of the water by Forest.
He also had a deal in place for Kudus only for it to fall apart because Utd decided to vastly overpay for Antony.

I think if TFG wanted rid of KT he would have gone with Sean Dyche.

Time will tell what the relationship is between Moyes and KT but my feeling is that both will work together to decide on targets.
On the flip side wouldn't they have offered him a new deal if they wanted him to stay?

Looks very much to me that they're happy to let his contract run down.

As I said in the Dyche thread, Thelwell has improved the squad over the summer with signings of different quality and profile to what Dyche is used to.

I.e. players who are more technical

Dyche's style of play was never going to bring the best out of them. Sure, they still have their limitations, but you can hide that by playing more to their strengths

I don't think he's done a bad job personally

A good striker would be nice but they're not exactly ten a penny

We can't be making too many judgements off the back of a win against a terrible Spurs side. I still think we've assembled close to the worst squad in 30 odd years. Big transfer windows ahead to change that.
