That forest team can't hang on to the ball at all, can't blame him for his teammates when there rubbish.

When he has been on the ball is been ok a class above other forest players.

Leeds have been good though

...watched the first half, Leeds very much the better team. Dowell playing close to the CF, the problems were elsewhere but I haven't seen the 2nd half.

Mixed from him tonight , much of what we saw we already knew. Short range touch and go in evidence , nice to see two long range , raking passes in the second half, something which he's rarely done in the past mainly because he's been further forward, dropping back sometimes enabled him to do this. Starting to get a bit more physical and use his body to shield the ball better , these matches are improving in that sense . At times in the first half he failed to move into space to receive a short ball , he kept to close to an opposing player making a pass to him impossibl. This he improved on I thought in the second half by moving into space to get a short ball but often it was never played to him. It's the kind of simple ball we see regularly in our play e.g. To Davies, and often it's a simple ball back to the player or onwards but it is something missing at this level. It's something that will improve within the team as the season goes on and Dowell will benefit as they see him moving into space and give him a simple ball, it'll improve his involvement and every so often his "killer pass" will show itself. Leeds were the better team, and it was good that Dowell got a full 90 mins, he offered something different but often his type are the first to be hooked when a team are losing.

First real chance to see a bit of Ben Brerton when he came in for Forest, we've been linked with him . 18, big strong forward, raw but pacy , sign him for the U23s , GOT will need someone to booo next season if DCL continues as he's doing.

Mixed tbf, starting regularly but often being subbed around 70 mins
