I'm dubious on loans to that division. Not really Dave, he will play much more at Forest than he would have here, Forest also play a type of footy which will suit him, and it's a very young squad they have so lot of players in a similar boat to share the pressure.
Overall it's good for the lad and hopefully good for his future here, will give you that as far as Koeman was concerned the loan was more to raise his value to sell him though, hopefully new manager will get a player much more seasoned and able to contribute next season.
Didn't really respond to my point there. He's playing for NF in same position that sigurdsson prefers. They couldn't both play there. He's a different player to Sigurdsson.
The lad is a class act and some divvy sent him out on loan so we cant use him.
Looks pretty good playing for a mid table Championship team.
Love that you say "as far as I'm aware" as if your knowledge of the subject is something worth referencing. As far as I'm aware it's a season long one.
I think this is the ultimate insult on the back of the idiot season long loan deal:
From the local Nottingham rag:
“Already an England Under-20 international, he has the potential to play for the senior side if he is given opportunities in the Premier League. At the moment there are no guarantees parent club Everton will be there next season. Forest might be 11th, but their proximity to the play-off places will raise expectations again in a league where a burst of form can transform the perspective of supporters."

Is the 20-year-old now the first name on the teamsheet at the City Ground?
We take a look….
Alfie Burns
He simply has to be.
His performance against Hull was magnificent, and Mark Warburton’s decision to start Dowell proved to be a stroke of genius.
Many were waiting for Dowell to introduce himself to the Championship, and Saturday’s performance has shown what the on-loan Everton man is all about.
Chris Gallagher
He has to be after Saturday.
Dowell was magnificent on Saturday and delivered a match-winning performance with his hat-trick and will be full of confidence now.
His first two goals were superb strikes and displayed what he is all about.
Next up is Reading and Mark Warburton will be hoping for a repeat performance from the talented Everton man.
George Dagless
I think he has to be.
There’s a good case to suggest that he’d get into the Everton team at the moment so I think he is a nailed on starter for Forest.
His hat-trick was sublime at the weekend but he has been impressive all season and that game at Hull will surely be a further boost to his confidence.
He is keeping Zach Clough out of the side and I think that is how it is going to stay for some time to come.
Mark Warburton has handled Dowell very well so far, giving him starts, bringing him off when he faded by 60 mins, still playing him the next game but not overplaying him. The previous game he came on at 70 mins and helped set up their second goal with his usual deft touches. His hat trick was indeed sublime , but we know he can do that , we’ve seen it at u21/23s . The bit that was equally impressive for me was that he was working and involved for the full 90 mins , take away the goals and he was still the best player, rarely has he done that. Warburton's the type to praise him up and then talk to him about bits he can improve on . “You know Kieran you need to work on your right foot, if it was half as good as your left you’d have scored four if that shot with your right had been struck properly. Oh , and that defensive lapse when you let their player get a free header in, well you’re not a defender, but this is how you can improve that.... “
The loan is done , people can moan about it as much as they like he’s not coming back this season , just watch and enjoy the kid whenever we can.
