This total myth needs putting to bed, we bought 1 number 10, Iceland, Klaassen is a number 8 and Rooney is a number 9!
I don't even think Siggy is purely a 10, he's more versatile than that.

Rooney maybe is more of a false 9, but that doesn't work unless you have others that can attack from some different places.

I also don't think Ross is a 10, either. He comes WAY back into midfield to receive the ball and holds it like he's a 6. He unfortunately defends like a 10. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him in there, but he's not really an ideal 10, either.

They could all work together regardless - Ross on the right if he was willing to be more aggressive, Rooney playing kind of a false 9, Siggy behind him playing one touch back to Ross, Rooney, Klassen running behind him all over the place, then putting one of Lookman/Vlasic/Mirallas on the left.

It really has more to do with tactics and how the manager deploys them than set positions. Think they are all rather compatible, honestly, but it takes a good tactician to make it happen.

The team needs a focal point, a number freaking 9, its been crying out for 1 all season.

Unsworth confirmed today that this loan can be looked at again in January.

I expect that numbnuts decision to send him out to be rectified and he'll be in a blue shirt and available for the first team at that point.
