Only what he has at and around Finch Farm - the '31 pros' (including Barkley) thing, he meant.

Finish the season off in the Championship and reassess in the summer.

Still 20, plenty of time left. Up to Allardyce/whoever is in charge to make the decision of whether or not to finally drop him in at the deep end.
Notwithstanding Rooney he is our most gifted player. He's more talented than Barkley and potentially more potent.

Class needs class to shine.

I think i'd still miss a tricky winger! ha!

I think my biggest fear with Dowell is when he's having quiet games, which stylish players like him at his age naturally will. I'd hate to see him hounded by fans and so on. You know the type!

Ross Barkley
DCL
Davies
Kenny

Dowell’s stats at Forest are impressive, 25 total appearances, 22 in the Championship , with 8 goals so far. He’s up there with Jota at Wolves as the best on loan player in the Championship, Forest and their fans recognise this . They also recognise the areas he needs to improve in , work rate, defensive duties , not going missing. He’s undoubtedly improved these areas already and also the fact that he plays regularly for the full 90 mins shows the loan has benefited him so far. I’d leave him at Forest until the end of the season. Nobody knows how the future will go for him , but chances are he’ll play another 20 odd games for Forest and hopefully score some more goals. Meanwhile we are not desperate to get him back , and if he did return in January he’d be fighting with the likes of Bollassie, Lookman, Vlassic, Lennon for a spot and likely not getting as much game time.

Summed up very nicely.

Never tired of hearing no-marks telling Sheedy to run faster

This is one potential lineup I'd like to see next year. Not every game, but would be balanced, yet attacking. With Dowell coming in from the left with his left wand, and Kenny getting forward more putting in crosses, we'd be very dangerous on the right. Move Siggy more centrally, and have pace on the left in spades with a combo of Seamus (moving to LB) and Bolasie/Lookman ahead. Rooney deeper pulling the strings, and Gana running down literally everything.

That lineup has so many flaws, Coleman at LB (definite no) the other CB in time needs to be Keane, DCL isn't good enough a new striker needed there, Dowell may be ok on the right but It would leave the RB massively exposed.

We'll never agree with this one mate. I need my wide players to be fast and winger types. But that's just a personal preference.

Imagine Dowell at 24-25 though. Can't help but be excited.

...as a wide player Dowell is very much in the Sheedy mould. Sheedy wasn’t a fast or tricky winger, he rarely went past his full back but was very effective. Indeed, Dowell probably moves with the ball better than Sheedy.

I agree that no10 might be his best position but at this point in time I honestly think he’d be our best option on the right side given his excellent link play with Kenny. It’s unlikely he’ll be recalled in January and he might find himself out of the reckoning if others are brought in.
