Depends on a few things for me. Even including who we bring in in the mean time. Currently he wouldn't get in in front of SigFace or Rooney as number 10's. So gametime would still be limited.

If he does have another loan i'd want it to be at a promotion chasing team. I'd love to see how he'd be getting on in this Wolves side for example.

I'm not averse to another loan for him at all. But it would be the last one.

Of course neither Rooney or Siggy are truly playing the #10 now, and I think Dowell as a #10 is his future, just not now at Everton. Play him on the right in a forward 3 or as a Pienaar type but on the right. When's 24-25, hand him the keys to the center of the park and let it rip.

The idea of Siggy and Dowell cutting in from the wings with Vlasic behind the striker makes me salivate a little. Might leave the wing backs a little exposed, but Wayne will clear any danger with an 80 yard assist to Dominic Calvert-Fellaini

Was also my thought. I put Siggy in the middle, but I love the idea of mirror opposites cutting in on each wing like you say.

We'll never agree with this one mate. I need my wide players to be fast and winger types. But that's just a personal preference.

Imagine Dowell at 24-25 though. Can't help but be excited.

Defo a stylistic preference. My favorite Everton teams were the ones with Baines/Pienaar overlapping teams to death on the left. Imagine if we could replicate that but on both sides of the pitch?

I think Koeman wanted to do so, and tbf it worked when everyone was fit. You need two stellar wing backs to provide the width though. Left side should really be a priority in the summer.

I think i'd still miss a tricky winger! ha!

I think my biggest fear with Dowell is when he's having quiet games, which stylish players like him at his age naturally will. I'd hate to see him hounded by fans and so on. You know the type!

luckily for Dowell even when he will have them quiet games he has the ability to do something magic out of absolutely nothing

Allardyce was recently making noises about looking at what he has available in the whole squad. If he's serious about that...

Only what he has at and around Finch Farm - the '31 pros' (including Barkley) thing, he meant.

Finish the season off in the Championship and reassess in the summer.

Still 20, plenty of time left. Up to Allardyce/whoever is in charge to make the decision of whether or not to finally drop him in at the deep end.

Interesting you mention Bolasie...I'm hoping him and Mirallas are punted soon + Lennon carries limited threat. Barkley is off in Jan despite Rooneys fawning of him in the press....

Neither has Lennon or Bolasie...

Some fleeting moments with him, no idea why we kept extending his contract though...

You'd really loan/transfer Dowell/Lookman/Vlasic ahead of Mirallas/Lennon/Bolasie
Harsh on Bolasie mate our most creative player for months after he was injured.

He is effective.

This is one potential lineup I'd like to see next year. Not every game, but would be balanced, yet attacking. With Dowell coming in from the left with his left wand, and Kenny getting forward more putting in crosses, we'd be very dangerous on the right. Move Siggy more centrally, and have pace on the left in spades with a combo of Seamus (moving to LB) and Bolasie/Lookman ahead. Rooney deeper pulling the strings, and Gana running down literally everything.

A proven finisher would kill to be in that team.

The loan to Forest has been brilliant for Dowell and he deserves at least a 10 game run in the first team on his return to demonstrate that he can deliver in the big league.

As an aside, I would have Keane in there alongside Holgate.
