2017/18 Kieran Dowell

Dowell is class. A player with uncommon vision and technique. Why would you want that to be out of reach and unavailable to draw on? It makes no sense.

He's been down in the Championship and he's clearly a class apart from the donkeys down there. Are we waiting for this lad to break his leg and be completely unavailable?

The easiest decision to be made in January is to get him back up here.

not sure we have that option dave.

he got shipped out, when he was arguably our best player pre-season.

the arrival of sandro , klassen and gylfi ultimately meant he HAD to go on loan.

I see him having a big future with us as of next season.

If you can't see the benefits of him being at a Forest for a year then you're a fool.

IIRC their manager said he was not guaranteed to stay the whole season.

Yeh that wasn't even an option I was suggesting but good one David.
...the rest of the season/another season - all the same: more time away when he should be available for us. Every contribution he makes for Forest is one he could and should be making for Everton.

He's learning his trade and will come back to us in the Summer a far better player than if we bring him back next month (if we can).

If we move far enough up the table to secure our status, I think he would be good to have from the bench for the rest of the season. Some of the goals he's scored for Forest would not look out of place compared with some of the goals Rooney and Sigurdsson have scored this season, and he might be a good option should Rooney/Gylfi get injured or if they can't get it going in a particular match.

I think it’ll be reviewed (whether or not to bring him back) and they’ll let him see out the rest of the season there.

That's easy ship Klassen or Sandro out, or both of them.

Much as I didn't want him to go on loan in the first place, I think he'd be better served by staying the whole year at Forest.

That way he can continue learning in what has clearly been a successful loan environment and then come back and use preseason to get used to playing with the Everton first team rather than trying to adapt with minimal training sessions and an intense game schedule.

Part of the problem about the young players out on loan, Sam has not seen them and so is unaware of their quality having to concentrate on what we have got and wining games.
