...except that if a player wants to run down his contract there’s very little a club can do.
He doesn't seem the type.

That is an absolute 'kin disgrace.
This club is dead if it's even considering not bringing Dowell back in. He's a class player, and if we have decision makers who cant see that then we have confirmation that we've completely lost our way.
The utter trash masquerading as Everton first team players while this lad with ten times more talent than them is being ostracised.
Just get these clowns out. DoF, manager, the useless army of coaches and analysts. We're finished with these charlatans in control.
During the warm ups to the season start he was the stand out player. I couldn’t understand not having him available for the first team. I hope we bring him back and make some use of him......
He doesn't seem the type.
Who the manager is will surely factor into his thoughts, don’t think Kieran would benefit from playing in a Big Sam setup....i’m not sure what the type is. He will weigh up his chances of making a breakthrough at Everton against the demand for his services elsewhere. He’s at a point where he’ll be wanting game time as well as a high salary. He’ll look at Sigurdsson and Rooney ahead of him in the queue as well as competition from the likes of a Vlasic. Whether he’s wanted or not is also a factor, young Connolly at Ipswich said Everton have hardly been in contact with him.
The worrying aspect for me is that the lad himself appears to have no idea what plans the club have for him. It's as if nobody's keeping a check on him. Now that is a disgrace if so.

Same as the lad down at Ipswich, Connolly.Think you're over reacting a bit Dave. The context of the column is an interview with a local paper and Dowell is showing great maturity in keeping his options with Forest open. There's nothing there to suggest that the club aren't intending to bring him into the squad next season. However I would expect his opportunities to be limited if Allardyce is still in charge of the team.

That's Koeman for you. Anyone with talent was sold, loaned or forced out the door.During the warm ups to the season start he was the stand out player. I couldn’t understand not having him available for the first team. I hope we bring him back and make some use of him......

There's something that stinks at this club. Has Royle even been replaced, as that was his job to keep communication open.
All those coaches we have and all friggin useless as far as I can tell.
Unfortunately since Joe Royce left we’ve apparently left all our young players on loan to just get on with it - Callum Connolly at Ipswich said this recently. Martin Dobson should apparently now fill this role , but it’s hard to believe he’s going to have the experience or his words carry any weight the way Royle’s did.
We should be planning for next season now , and what roles Dowell, Connolly, Williams and Robinson are likely to play, instead we don’t even know who the manager will be.
