People are really overreacting here. I only saw him play at England u20 and he certainly didn't stand out for me. Every time he got subbed. And from what i've read from other people who saw him play at the u23 last year he was verry inconsistent.

I cannot name any player from the top 6 who's under 20 but here some people think we're gonna join the top6 with players like Kenny,Davies and Dowell. Dream on.
And if they're not in the first eleven then Koeman has to walk. lol

Well why did we sign martina for top six then?

I agree with you he's nothing special but with Europe this year we need a big squad

And that Koeman played more youth than any other manager last year??

Koeman will not be with us season 2018/19. He is exactly the wrong sort of manager for us at the moment. He's every bit as risk-averse in his approach as Moyes. His selections and substitutions are as puzzling as Martinez's. His aversion to putting youth and energy above older, uninspiring plodders is a criminal waste of talent. Add to this an unapproachable, obstinate personality that has upset players at every club he's been at, and you get the reason for my conclusion.

What we need on the forum are good old fashioned rants with little to no substance (y)

To be fair Dell Ali and Anthony Martial were probably playing regular PL footie in their teens, but they're defo the exception.

I also don't understand that one. Maybe a cheap player for covering up both wingbacks. Maybe he just played him in the first match because he already played some serious matches at the Gold Cup.

What i do know is that when he thinks Kenny is better he'll play him. I can only have an opinion based on the couple of games i saw him playing with England u 20 en he looked verry promising but Lookman was also verry good and he's not good enough for the first eleven at this moment i think.

The fact you blatantly ignore Davies, Holgate and Calvert-Lewin in your critique, renders the rest of your statement questionable and reveals it to be based on personal dislike of the manager rather than considered opinion of his abilities.

To be fair I've seen a few starting to have these feelings.
 
I think there are too many folks caught up in the romance of playing Everton young players especially given the success of Davies last season. It's very rare for young players to make an impact like Davies and if we play dowell Kenny DCL regularly hoping for the same the chances are we are more likely to fail in the league given their inexperience.

Give me a more experienced average journey man like cuco over gambling with youth any day. Having said that I'd very be happy to play those young players in less important cup ties and at the end of games which have already be won in the league-so we do give them a chance to prove themselves.
 
Are people seriously upset about us doing what all the other great teams do? He's too good for the U23s, he's not quite good enough once Siggy gets here to break through and play consistently.
