Apologies, shows he doesn't read the content of posts before arguing blindly to meet his agendaThis is the Dowell thread lads, not Tom Davies.
I'm sure it was a typo by @davek and he meant Dowell.
It's all over the place now. Let me cut through the Gordian knot and get it back on track: Dowell HAD to be retained this summer and hasn't been. He now joins Williams, Pennington, Browning, Galloway on loan. What are the chances of Kenny and Connolly joining them? High I'd suggest.
Rooney and Sigurdsson in terms of creativity, that is the only competition Dowell faced. Rooney is held together by spit and chewing gum these days and almost certain to be sitting lots of games out; Sigurdsson, if he comes, picks up an injury - what then?
Kenny: already third choice RB. Coleman comes back for Christmas he'll be punted to the Championship.
10 games here is worth 100 in the Chumpionship (not a spelling error).
Maybe you should move to 2017, because that didn't happen.Yes, against Krasnodar in the EL...two and a half years ago.
Welcome to 2014.
...again though, who beyond the two I mentioned gives you that level of consistency even in games?...it's as much consistency within a game as from match to match. I suspect it might be a learning process for him.
That's how most players get chances. You forget holgate played due to colemans injury. Davies played a lot yes but besic and McCarthy were out injured a lot and Barry can't play as much as he used too. Also dcl played as there wasn't much options in his position.
He's going safe playing big money signings and arl arses.Again I'm in agreement to a degree. He was the only fit left footed attacker and whether you play inverted wingers as has become modern trend or traditional you ideally need one of each foot. The problem Koeman faces is there is now a lot of expectancy and if he plays Dowell and then has to drop him after 2 had games it may destroy his confidence as it would be hard to get back in. If he has a couple of bad games in the Championship chances are he'll be given another go.
Dave. I want the best team playing for Everton. I don't want youngsters on the team simply because they are local or because they have come through the academy. What will your reaction be if Kenny - who you've been championing - is sacrificed for Martina?
Pray to everything that is holy he offers him one then. He's going safe playing big money signings and arl arses.
FFS if he hands a new contract to Barry I think I'll explode.
He literally can't win you over though, can he?He's going safe playing big money signings and arl arses.

We wont see Dowell established in the first team under Koeman. He's about to spend £50M on a player he wont consider dropping as long as he's manager.Dave. I want the best team playing for Everton. I have watched Kieran Dowell quite a bit and from what I have seen I don't think he is ready to play every week for a Premiership team hoping to go top six or better. If, we were struggling to stay in the league , short of funds and had lower ambitions... then maybe.
The lad is only nineteen, hardly at the end of his career and will benefit from a move like this hugely... but, this is just my opinion.
The situation with Kenny is the same. You seem to feel that there is a vendetta by the management against younger players, where clearly there isn't, but under age football is very different to playing in a top Premiership team and these lads are obviously not showing enough to convince the management at the moment. I have read arguments about Koeman giving preference to Martina over Kenny because he is a favourite of his and I regard these as simply stupid. Martina is signed as cover until Coleman is back and as a back up after that. What Kenny achieves is up to him in the months and years ahead.
We aspire to be a team dining at the top table, fighting with Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs , Utd and City for silverware. We cannot afford to play boys who are not prepared for this level of football and may never be.
They may have good careers, they may be Premiership footballers, but will they play for top six Premiership team.
