How do you impose yourself on a league where the ball is in the air for 90% of the time and the other 10% of the time is used to hospitalise opponents?

He needs to learn how to butt people and kick them in the bollocks. Being a footballer with vision and technique is not enough.

You make it sound like the championship is not far off the Roman Coliseum. Teams who play good football like Bournemouth can absolutley sail through that league. You're mistaking aggression with application; yard dogs have the first, quality players have the second in abundance. This season will show if Dowell has application or if he is just a fancy flicks and tricks player like McGeady.

I concur and I've watched him numerous times at U18 & U23 level.
