It's a brutal league.

Last season red cards stat:

PL 41 sendings off

Championship: 88 sendings off

Tells its own story.

How many red cards in the previous seasons? Cos if it was materially higher your point would lose some of its force.

Oh just had a look, it's 60/71/57 in previous three seasons. And given there's an extra 172 games in the Championship your point has been invalidated.

Good move for the lad. He plays in a position which we are overstocked in and will get 30 odd games in a very tough league. He'll do very well imo and come back a better player who is (hopefully) ready for our first team.

Where I do agree with the naysayers is regarding Kenny, no way should he be loaned out leaving us with Martina for 5 months as first choice.

Hopefully this weekend!

Thing is, if he stayed and started games and was crap and was continually started, all the mini-Dave's on here would be saying "kid needs a loan".

Irks me.

Loan will be perfect for the boy, just whats he needs, he will return 20 years old with a season of first team football under his belt, our scouts will know by Christmas if hes worth retaining.

Or he could have had decent game time in the cups and made good contributions for somebody of his age and experience, and come off the bench in the odd premier game where his magic could help unlock some parked buses. Anyway, it's a moot point for now as he's Forests player for the next year.

As loans go the club/manager seem to be a good choice. Let's hope it works out well for him and he comes back a better player next year.

Well that was my point? He could be good but he could also play badly and get the DCL treatment. There'd be no winning with whichever decision was made with Dowell.
