Why would it mean the odd LC game? We should realistically have about 50 games this season. Why wouldn't he get upward's of a dozen starts from that lot...especially given the clueless nature of this core of first team players?

Apparently koeman is fed up of the young players knowing nothing about his playing career..

So he designed a little quiz, DCL and davies did loads of revision and passed with flying colours, meanwhile kenny and dowell didnt even know he was dutch..

If only he was playing against professional highly paid athletes every week and not those thugs in the championship. rip Kieran lad.

Those players want to know what he's done as a manager. Not much is the answer.

...at the end of this season I think Dowell needs to be in a position where Everton would be trying to buy him if he wasn't already with us. It's a big challenge for him. We know the talent is there but talent alone isn't enough, he needs to prove he has the application to positively impact games on a regular basis.

I want the Forest fans to really like him but more importantly I want the Forest Manager to regularly select him.

Spot on, if he plays 30+ games for Forest this season makes people take notice then the loan has served its purpose.

Spot on. The risk of any loan is what happens if things get tight. Does the manager get conservative and put a bunch of 30 year old groks in there to avoid getting beat?

Warburton has a good reputation, and I'm hopeful, but it IS a risk. Those who are hammering on some of us who are questioning this are too easy to say loans are a great thing. Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't. Coleman's was great, Barkley's 2 were most definitely not.

One game in the PL/with a PL team = 10 games in the Chumpionship.

While this is on the surface a largely ludicrous statment. I presume you mean when refining a players skill, which i would honestly agree with you.

The thing is though is that dowell has the skill there. It's his work rate that needs improving and the championship is ideal for that.
